Some sad news this time. Jan Heddema, the man who produced our latest CD Not
For Sailing, died March 9th. His life was celebrated by many people from the local
music scene on March the 15th.
Jan, you'll be missed...
On a happier note, Kiep's girlfriend Natasja gave birth to a healthy baby girl
on February the 8th. She goes by the name of Djuke Agnes.
Ok, back to the music now! Everybody come and see us in the USVA on April the 12th!!

The Grover-Pop CD, the compilation CD of bands from the city of
Groningen, released in co-operation with Vitaminic
is finally for sale on the Vitaminic site. Track number 3 on this CD
is our very own Looloo's Revenge!
The appearance at Eurosonic was a lot of fun; we
played well. Afterwards we were told that we created a dEUS-like atmosphere (y'all know
the Belgian band, right? :) Well, we DID try to put down a different set from usual. I
guess it worked.
We also got a very nice review of our new CD in Freeze, the Frisian
magazine. Vera magazine also did another poll, where you could vote for the best gig
of the year 2001. We didn't do very well in the poll, but that was to be expected, as the
only gig we did was a very short one for the Grote Prijs region final.
Furthermore, no rehearsals for a while, as Rodney was SUPPOSED to be in Australia for
a month and because Kiep is expecting to become a father any day now...

We're playing at Eurosonic once again! In De Troubadour this time, so everybody come
and see us on the 11th of January and get a copy of our Not For Sailing CD!!

About time for an update isn't it? Oh well...
As you may know by now, our new promo CD called "Not For Sailing" was released
in March of this year. We have yet to officially present it, but it's for sale for
whoever wants it through this website or at gigs.
And seeing that you have found this page, you're also aware of the change of web
address for the band. Webjump stopped their services, so we had to move to a different
host and we immediately took the liberty of claiming our very own www.viciousvisjes.com.
Anyway, our gig in De Winston, in Amsterdam, the 3rd of September is a sort-of
presentation of the new CD and we hope you will all come to see us there!

*Coming Sunday, the 10th of September we will be featured in NCRV's Buzz (Radio 3FM),
between 18:30 and 19:00, during a bit that's called Popslag. Listeners can vote for
one of two bands and we're one of the two, so everybody go to http://www.ncrv.nl/buzz/ and

*We came in 2nd in the Battle Of The Bands final! Pretty good, but still...

*We came in 2nd in the semi-finals of the Battle of the Bands. This means we're through to the finals!!
These finals will be held April 8th in De Melkweg in Amsterdam.
*Recordings for the 2nd CD have started!

*OUR DEBUT-CD "NATURAL HIGH TIDE" WAS RELEASED!!
*We reached the final of the Pop=Prima and played in De Oosterpoort May 29th, but we didn't win anything.
*Our CD got a very good review in de Fret, the magazine distributed all over The Netherlands by the NPI.
*Also some songs from the CD were played on national radio.

*Debut-CD presentation will be April 1st in Vera.

*We won the final of the Rode Oortjes Festival!! Because we did, we'll do a
live interview on Oog Radio tonight (16/02) in Exit (18:00-19:00).

*We ran out of demos. A new edition will probably be released soon.
*The recordings made on 16th of January will be aired January the 30th on Oog Radio, Scherpe Oren, 19.00-20.00.
*We won the first preliminary for the Rode Oortjes Festival (18/01). The final will be on the 15th of February!
*An interview with the band was published in Het Nieuwsblad van het Noorden
20/01. Also, reviews of our demo can be found in the
latest issue (Jan/Feb) of Pop=Prima Magazine (very good review) and De Slachtbank (I think the mag is called Alles Op Tien or something - we're being butchered ;)...
